Señor Carvajal Extra Help Hours: Tuesdays 3:00-4:00
Welcome to Spanish 3! This is one of the most important years in Spanish. After this year, you will have been exposed to almost every verb form, become more confident in your listening and speaking skills, and be at a much higher reading level. We start with a complete review of everything that you have learned in Spanish 2. If you did not fully understand something from the past year, this is the time to put more effort into that concept when we do the review.
In Spanish 3 we will explore the Spanish language and cultural diversity that exists in Spanish speaking Latin America through the use of many texts, oral, listening, and writing exercises, games skits, music, video, as well as other teacher guided strategies. Current events and issues facing these countries will form the basis of much student work. You will notice that much of this class is conducted in Spanish. Please do not feel frustrated if you do not understand everything being said or all of the vocabulary in a reading. What is essential is that you come to class ready to listen, practice, and give your 100% effort, in other words try your hardest. There is ALWAYS homework! If there is no written assignment, the homework is to study, study, study vocabulary and the grammar concepts.
Please scroll down, open the Syllabus/Year long overview, and read additional information you need to know about this class.
