Roster and Game Policy
The basketball team will have an active roster or 12 players. These players will be expected to travel, dress, and be prepared to play in all games. The team will also have three (3) additional spaces for players to be on a practice squad. These players are on the team, as they will be participating in every practice and attending all games, but will not dress for the games. Players will be moved between the active roster and the practice squad based on demonstrated attitude, skills, effort, as well as adherence to team rules.

Practice Policy -
All players must attend all practices. If for some reason you are unable to attend, you must present a signed note explaining why you are unable to make it to practice IN ADVANCE. Any player who misses practice, a game, or any other team function without proper documentation, or is in violation of any team rules, will be taken off of the active roster and moved to the practice squad for a period of time as determined by the coach. |
Academic Policy -
All players must maintain passing grades in all classes. This means no grades below that of a "C." If any player falls below a "C" in any class they must present a written plan to improve their grade and make up any missing work. Failure to make, or abide by such a plan will result in that player being removed from the active roster for a period of time determined by the coach.
Study Hall (Silent Study) -
When it is listed on the schedule, all players are required to attend Silent Study. If a player needs any clarification or other materials for their work (i.e.- a laptop, or other resources) they should get these BEFORE 3:15pm. If a player is attending extra help with another teacher, the player will need a signed note from that teacher specifying the time spent in extra help.
